Choosing Home Exercise Equipment

Home Exercise can be the key to ultimate health and fitness. An Elliptical Trainer allows you to use both upper and lower body. An elliptical trainer has a platform for each foot to stand on and handles which move in a backwards and forward motion. The person using the machine uses the arms as a secondary source of force. If the machine is designed well, the handle motion is well coordinated with the motion of the legs.

This type of exercise is suitable for all levels of fitness and is great for people who want to avoid direct force through the hips and knees which are present in other equipment such as when using a treadmill.

Would you prefer to be using an exercise bike? If so which type is best for you?

There are different types of exercise bikes on the market. The first type to come to mind is the basic exercise bike. These bikes can be great to train on and motivate you as most new models come with training programmes which help you create and stick to a training goal. Another type of exercise bike is the spinning bike, this bike is studier and allows you to ride while standing on the pedals, and these types of bike do not have any programs, but put of an MP3 player and ride to some motivating music. You can stimulate sprints, hills, and rests just like you would while riding a road bike. The advantages of riding in doors are, you can ride anytime you find convenient.

Recumbent Bikes are also available as a Home Exercise machine. A recumbent bike can be great if you are just starting out and you have any back pain issues. The seats are more supportive and the set up of the bike allows you to ride in a more comfortable position while achieving a great workout.

Treadmills can be great for people who don’t have any joint problems.

Treadmills are for people who love to walk or run for exercise. Running is probably considered to be the most intense form of exercise. If you have any problems with your knees, hips, back or ankles you can still get the same intensity as a treadmill on other machines. Treadmills are great if you are use to running or walking outdoors but feel unsafe or you don’t wish to go out in the extreme weather days.
