Shanthimalai Nag Champa Incense is imported from the foot of the sacred mountain Arunachala in Tamil Nadu, India. A large percentage of profits from sales of the incense contributes to the health care, education, and vocational training for local villagers through Shanthimalai Trust, founded in 1985. Production of incense offers employment for widows, abandoned mothers, and physically handicapped or unmarried women who otherwise would have no means of earning an income.
